If a TW owner was in residence here, they could obtain a voting package from the TW office right up to the day of the meeting. For envelopes sent to owners who were traveling or were forwarded, it is unlikely they had time to vote.
The information sheet was created by the board and claimed to provide relevant information needed by the owners in order to decide how to vote on the FLAG ballot. For many TW owners, this was the first time they received any information about the purchase.
The information sheet was not just biased, it listed several blatantly untrue things, including but not limited to: if the association buys this property, the board can do whatever it wants with it, and the resident will have no input. Also, that the unit owners will have no ownership in the land, but we will have to pay all costs of buying and upkeep. So, provided with this information, why would any intelligent person vote to spend money to buy this land?
The information sheet was so biased against the purchase, that a second information sheet showing true and unbiased information should have been provided by TW-FLAG in the same manner. But FLAG had no clue that the boards sheet was even being provided, much less, what it was going to say.
Below is the actual Information sheet included. Following that is my re-creation of that sheet to show corrected and unbiased information.
